Two Covid Poems: “The Book of Distractions” and “Romans”
May 30, 2024•

The Book of Distractions (a covid poem)
I really don’t need to know the history
In The Beginning
(I know)
I’m more in receiving
And learning
What I need now
To get the Job done
To keep us moving forward
(I know)
Once I’ve mastered That
Assuring the Future
Then I’ll have the Luxury
Of reviewing the Past
(I know)
Romans (a covid poem)
“You will cooperate.
and you will participate
in our experiment
with population control.
You will cooperate
or suffer the consequences.”
