Iraq Criminalizes Same-Sex Relationships With Maximum 15 Years In Prison

Al Jazeera reports that Iraq’s parliament has passed a law criminalizing same-sex relationships with a maximum 15-year prison sentence, in a move it said aimed to uphold religious values, but was condemned by rights advocates as the latest attack on the LGBTQ community in Iraq.
