The Tulane Hullabaloo reports that on Sept. 27, 1958, 26-year-old visiting tour guide Fernando Rios was enjoying the New Orleans nightlife at Cafe Lafitte in Exile, a gay bar on Bourbon Street where he met Tulane University student John Farrell.
