Myth Brings Studio 54 Back to Twin Cities

Mere minutes from both Minneapolis and St. Paul in Maplewood, Myth bills itself as the “Midwest’s ultimate concert and club destination.” On July 17, it’s hosting an 18-plus event celebrating Studio 54, featuring DJ Junior Vasquez.

Matt Motschenbacher, Myth Director of Marketing, explains, “Our whole vision with this event was to host something that paid homage to the original Studio 54, yet modernized it a bit, and introduced it to a younger demographic—a wild retro/flashback party. We felt that securing international house legend Junior Vasquez as the DJ for the evening was an ideal match, as his reputation and appeal reaches such a wide demographic, and would fit seamlessly with what we were trying to accomplish.”

Myth is the place to pull this off, with its constantly evolving programming; 36,000 square feet of world-class production space; multilevel seating; and strategically placed plasma screens and video walls.

Motschenbacher continues, “The versatility that Myth possesses both as an entertainment complex and nightlife destination makes it unlike anything else Minnesota has to offer. It’s reminiscent of a Las Vegas club that was somehow mysteriously transplanted into the Twin Cities. We feel that by constantly evolving our events to appeal to an array of demographics, our concepts stay fresh and exciting, instead of falling victim the same redundant ‘events’ that many Twin Cities clubs continue to promote.”

For the upcoming event, Motschenbacher cites “a multitude of VIP options available for anyone who is interested in elevating their Studio 54 experience. Whether they want something ‘in-the-action’ on the dance floor, something more private in one of our three luxury suites, or something with close proximity to our rooftop patio, we are able accommodate groups of any size.”
