Kaner-Roth Is New Project 515 Executive Director

Ana Kaner-Roth is the new Executive Director of Project 515 and Project 515 Education Campaign. She succeeds Laura Smidzik, who left at the beginning of January to pursue a new career path.
Kaner-Roth holds a master of social work degree focused in public policy from Boston University, as well as a bachelor of arts degree in Political Science and Criminal Justice from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
For almost 20 years, Kaner-Roth has been in the public policy and social services areas. She was Field Representative for the San Francisco area for former California State Assemblywoman Carole Migden. She worked with the Massachusetts Gay & Lesbian Political Caucus; the AIDS Legal Referral Panel; Family Support Services of the Bay Area; and Rock County Department of Social Services in Janesville, Wisconsin. Most recently, she was Associate Director of the Jewish Community Foundation of the Minneapolis Jewish Federation.
Project 515 Board Chair Lee Anderson said, “Project 515 is very fortunate to have someone with Ann Kaner-Roth’s credentials as our Executive Director. Her background growing a small nonprofit, and her policy and political experience, are wonderful assets for our needs today.”
