FrontRunners Run for Pride

Twin Cities FrontRunners invites all to join its 2009 5K Run for Pride. The 26th annual event once again celebrates the Minneapolis-St. Paul GLBT community.

This year’s run benefits District 202, an organization that maintains a safe space by and for GLBTQI youth and their allied friends. It helping them build self-confidence and self-expression, along with the skills and resources they need to be successful by affirming their identities, amplifying their voices, and assembling community.

All runners and walkers are welcome.

Date: June 27

Time: 9 AM (race start), with 8:15 AM day-of registration and number pickup

Location: 32nd St. Beach, Lake Calhoun (3220 E. Calhoun Pkwy., Mpls.)

Course: One clockwise lap of Lake Calhoun on the pedestrian path

Cost: $20, includes race shirt

Prizes: Awarded to top two male and female finishers.
