Drag Out Your Tupperware!

I always love drag queen names that are clever double entendres. And Dixie Longate (get it?) is one of the best ever. Camp Bar, 490 North Robert Street, St. Paul, is bringing this hilarious performer here on July 17 for one show only.

Claiming to be the top Tupperware saleswoman in the country, Longate is the hostess of the interactive Dixie’s Tupperware Party. Get set for her to engage in such outrageous demonstrations as creative use of storage products as falsies.

In an interview with Dana Caprina in Gay Chicago, Longate describes how she got involved with Tupperware this way: “My parole officer was the one who got me started. She said that I needed a job in order to get my kids back, which is so stupid, ’cause I didn’t want ’em anyway. I never knew that I would have so much fun selling plastic to the gals who live in the trailer park, but apparently, any excuse to drink is good enough for them.”
