Gay 90’s Eggs ’n’ Drag Is Unbeatable Combo
Looking for a unique dining and drag experience at a reasonable price? Don’t miss Eggs ’n’ Drag the second Sunday every month, 11 AM-2 PM, in the classic Gay 90’s main bar. You’ll leave satisfyingly full and thoroughly entertained.
The sumptuous, scrumptious brunch, served buffet-style, offers a delicious cornucopia: several varieties of eggs and potatoes, sausage, ham, bacon, biscuits and gravy, fruit, and pastries, plus cooked-to-order omelets. Add bottomless mimosas on special, and you’re in dining/imbibing paradise.
If the great food weren’t enough, the accompanying drag show is outstanding. Hosted by Brandonna Dupri LaReese, reigning Miss Gay Minnesota United States, it features a rotating cavalcade of ultra-talented female impersonators that includes many titleholders, such as Azalia Selena Cruz, who also doubles as server at the brunch. Entertainers appear both onstage and on the floor throughout the dining area, creating an up-close-and-personal, intimate ambience. DJ Rich ably presides over the music. The event nicely complements the renowned La Femme Show Lounge performances Wednesday-Sunday evenings upstairs at the bar.
One of the most noticeable aspects is the incredible diversity of the appreciative audience. It ranges from children to seniors (like me). Gay 90’s Manager Karen Hartigan, who’s in charge of coordinating the well-planned crowd-pleaser, says, “We wanted to create something interactive that would appeal to everyone of all ages and genders. We truly welcome families of every type. It’s all worthwhile when we see young kids joining in all the fun!”
What more could you ask for? All for only $10, including the buffet and show. Reservations are strongly recommended. Watch Lavender for some upcoming exciting updates about Eggs ’n’ Drag!
