It’s not a stretch to say that this summer is going to be a lot different than the summers we’re normally accustomed to. With the COVID-19 pandemic still at large, we need to be a lot more conscientious about maintaining proper hygiene and social distancing practices to keep ourselves and each other safe, even as a lot of businesses are reopening to the public.
That being said, summer time means that patio season is in full swing, and lot of restaurants are doing an amazing job maintaining proper practices to keep their staff and customers safe so they can enjoy the terrific food on their menus. We’re thrilled to bring to you our 2020 Summer Eats issue!
We interview cover star and PinKU Japanese Street Food founder and superstar chef John Sugimura; we get to know the homestyle cookery of the fantastic Milton’s Vittles, Vino, and Beer in Crystal; and we help you discover your sweet tooth with the downright divine Dancing Bear Chocolate.
On top of that, we preview the upcoming Timber Creek Women’s Golf Tournament, we profile the Pillars of Prospect Park assisted living facility, and Jamez L. Smith is back for another installment of his “Jamez Sitings” poetry column.
Even though summer is going to be a far cry from what we’re used to this year, we are resilient and we can get through it. Be sure to support and signal boost your local restaurants and eateries, and as always, stay safe and stay healthy!
