Newsy Bits

The Lynn on Bryant is now open in the Lynnhurst neighborhood. Destined to be a community meeting spot, the food at first blush is fantastic. I had a great breakfast sandwich, with some of the tastiest pork breakfast sausage I’ve tasted in recent memory. Plus, the coffee is from Kopplin’s in St. Paul; no need to cross the river for this craft brew any more. So far, it is so good. 5003 Bryant Ave S. Mpls

Nightingale on Lyndale is also open now. Featuring small plates and late night hours (serving food until 1am daily), night owls will be happy to have a new home. 2551 Lyndale Ave S., Mpls

We’re sad to say goodbye to El Meson, which abruptly closed. Nearby Café Ena, owned by the same family is still open.

Also shuttered is Thom Pham’s Wonderous Azian. Pham is also reportedly out of the reimagining of Azia in the original location on Eat Street, having sold the business to a business partner.
