If you’re looking for a huge variety of local musicians, Twin Cities PRIDE is the place to be.  With 5 stages and a special Festival Support Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board (MSAB), PRIDE has one of the most diverse and wide-reaching groups of local talent in the state.

With the grant’s focus on providing opportunity for Minnesotans to experience local arts through festivals – and also to allow local artists greater exposure – PRIDE took on the task of selecting artists with great excitement.  They reached out to local venues and media outlets – including The Fine Line, First Avenue, and The Current – to suggest artists, and then assembled a music jury to review over 40 submissions in March.

“Steve Haussy, our Entertainment Manager, had the difficult task of scheduling the 23 selected acts and performed minor miracles in getting them all scheduled,” according to Dot Belstler, Executive Director of Twin Cities PRIDE.  “The lineup that Steve put together is incredible.  Between the 5 stages, attendees will ALWAYS have someone they love to listen to.”

Many of the new local groups that will be featured at PRIDE can be heard on The Current and in local venues, including: The Chalice, Buffalo Moon, Strange Names, Southside Desire, Duck Duck Punch, Keri Noble, and Boogie Wonderland.

“We believe that the mix of new groups, combined with old favorites will provide a great entertainment experience for all who attend the PRIDE Festival,” said Belstler.  “We look forward to seeing everyone there in a couple short weeks!”
