Fringe Producer Laura D. Thaisen Comments on Marriage Equality Show

Now that the reality of marriage equality is both settling and expanding, it’s good and natural that theater work is being created about what that means and can mean for us. True life stories and other stories comprise this piece that is premiering at the Minnesota Fringe Festival.
Producer and co-creator Laura D. Thaisen says “the first date between my partner and I was the catalyst of #RelationshipStatus. It became an important story -and scene- about the unsolicited, unplanned, and comical reactions following the passage of same-sex marriage. We wanted to bring stories like ours to life, and create something genuine that would speak to audiences.
