Paws on Grand
August 3 • 11am-4pm
Grand Avenue • St. Paul
It’s our Summer Pride in Pets issue, so I need to include at least one pet event. Celebrate the dog days of summer on St. Paul’s Grand Avenue with Paws on Grand! Grand Avenue businesses partner with local rescue groups to pamper and celebrate four-legged friends all along the Avenue. Gather up giveaways, relax on a pet-friendly restaurant patio, learn about pet adoption, support rescue groups, and pose for the popular pet photo contest! Visit www.grandave.com/events/paws-grand for more information.

Mattie’s on Main • 43 Main St. SE, Minneapolis
Tom Goss, DC based singer-songwriter whose pop/rock style and sensitive spirit has earned him a growing national following, is returning to Minneapolis. His 3-day Midwest tour comes on the heels of his new album release, “Wait”. Music videos are an integral part of Tom’s work, and his last release, “Bears,” which is a whimsical take on his self-professed infatuation with Bears, received millions of hits internationally. His most recent release, “Illuminate the Dark”, is about seeing people without judgment. It stars Iraq veteran, amputee and now model, Alex Minsky, as well as transgender performer, Joelle Baya-Uzuri. Visit http://mattiesonmain.com/event/tom-goss/ for more information.
