With 2018 in the rearview mirror, it’s time to once again welcome a new year and another annual installment of the Lavender Pride Pages Directory.
This last year has been highly significant for Lavender Media, with our historic advertising relationship with the Minnesota National Guard, the introduction of our animated Big Gay News video podcast, and another year of top-notch content, including our cover features with Minnesota United FC soccer star Collin Martin and reality television icon Carson Kressley.
And we continue to strive to offer the best resources and content possible to our rainbow community. Within these Pride Pages is a plethora of businesses and organizations that serve the GLBT community with pride. By patronizing these fine organizations, you not only support local businesses, but you also support businesses that are there for our community through thick and thin.
As always, Lavender Media delivers free, high-quality content on newsstands every two weeks with our print magazine, but you can also continue to find the information and resources you need on our website, mobile apps, and our magazine’s online edition.
Lavender also hosts a special happy hour get-together every First Thursday of the month to allow our fabulous community and allies to meet, hang out, and network with one another; these wonderful events also feature prize drawings, free appetizers, and drink specials.
As we look to another great year, we must not forget what a profound year 2019 will be for the GLBT community: not only will Lavender celebrate its 20th annual Pride Edition this June, but the rainbow community across the world will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the historic Stonewall riots in New York City, a moment in time that birthed the gay rights movement as we know it.
With such a solemn and momentous anniversary in the distance, Lavender will continue to be a vital resource for our community, connecting you with the resources you need both in print and online. We wish you only the happiest of New Years, and we look forward continuing to make history.
