Barometer: Asia O’Hara Wins Miss City of the Lakes Pageant at Gay 90’s

On the evening of June 25, the Gay 90’s hosted the 30th annual Miss City of the Lakes Pageant at the La Femme Show Lounge, the 20th anniversary of the event taking place there yearly. Six contestants — Tina G., Anastasia C. Principle, Bad Karma, Asia O’Hara, Julia Starr, and Lucy Furr — competed for the coveted title in the categories of creative swimwear, evening gown/question and answer, and talent. Asia O’Hara captured the title, with Bad Karma as first runner-up and Anastasia C. Principle as second runner-up. Performers included the outstanding La Femme cast, Show Director Nina Di Angelo, Emcee Monica West, Genevee Love, Prada Diamond, Be Be Zahara, and Brandonna Dupri Laresse — along with Pride Special Guest Star Alyssa Edwards. Sponsors were Captain Morgan and Stoli. For me, the highlight of the evening certainly was the stunning, rainbow-colored Pride attire of Prada Diamond, the best I’ve ever seen, which she made herself — bravo!
