United Methodist Agency Wants Church to Fund Pro-Gay Projects to Help LGBT Youth; Critic Calls It ‘Harmful’

The Christian Post is reporting that an agency within the United Methodist Church says it’s aiming to help gay youth by seeking to lift the Mainline denomination’s ban on funding groups that promote homosexuality. This is said to be in order to provide resources aimed at preventing teen suicide, particularly among youth who feel marginalized by their sexual identity.
