Transgender Prisoner Sues State Officials, Says She Should Be In Women’s Prison

The Star Tribune reports that a 56-year-old transgender woman is suing the Minnesota Department of Corrections and its leadership for a transfer to a women’s prison from a men’s facility, where she alleges she has been sexually abused and endured numerous indignities because of her gender identity.
