Stonewall Inn, Historic Gay Site, May Become New York City Landmark

The Wall Street Journal reports that the two brick-and-stucco buildings where the Stonewall Inn was located—already within the boundaries of a historic district in Greenwich Village—are about to get a singular recognition: a second designation as an individual landmark for its pivotal role in New York City’s social history.
