South Dakota Governor Vetoes Transgender Bathroom Bill, Saying It ‘Invites Conflict And Litigation’

The Los Angeles Times reports that South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard on Tuesday vetoes a proposed law that would have been the first in the country to require transgender students to use bathrooms and locker rooms that match the gender listed on their birth certificates.
