New York City Will Pay $5.9 Million To Settle Suit After Transgender Woman’s Death

LGBTQNation reports that New York City has agreed to pay $5.9 million to settle a lawsuit filed by the family of Layleen Xtravaganza Cubilette-Polanco, who died after being held in solitary confinement for nine days in June 2019.
