Kentucky Clerk Defies Court Order, Won’t Issue Gay Marriage Licenses

The Wall Street Journal reports that a clerk’s office Thursday turned away gay couples who sought marriage licenses in Rowan County, Kentucky, defying a federal judge’s order that said deeply held Christian beliefs don’t excuse officials from following the law.
