International Study Reveals Sports Teams Are Lagging Behind Society

USA Today reports that a new international study on homophobia in sports, which found 84% of gay men and 82% of lesbians have heard homophobic language in locker rooms. Out on the Fields surveyed nearly 9,500 people from six countries and found a direct correlation between such slurs and athletes who choose to hide their sexual orientations.
