Gay Activists Plan Boycott Of St. Patrick’s Day Parade

The Wall Street Journal reports that when organizers of New York City’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade said last year that they would allow a gay and lesbian group to participate, the move drew praise from city officials and Irish gays and lesbians, who believed a path opened for marching on Fifth Avenue alongside other Irish groups and with their own banners.
