Double Mitzva? Birthright’s Gay Participants Embrace Jewish, Queer Identities

The Times of Israel reports that two decades after it formed in 1999, Birthright Israel’s brand is widely viewed as welcoming to all kinds of Jewish students, including LGBTQ participants. Birthright operates several LGBTQ-cohort trips each year, but queer participants report “feeling at home” on standard Birthright trips, as well.
