Challenger Unseats Rich Stanek In Hennepin County, Becoming First Gay Sheriff In Midwest

The Pioneer Press reports that the Hennepin County Canvassing Board on Tuesday certified Dave “Hutch” Hutchinson’s narrow win over Stanek in last week’s election, with the Star Tribune reporting that the board found no errors in the vote totals.
