Boy Scouts Oust Gay Volunteer In Westerville

The Columbus Dispatch reports that less than a year ago, the local Boy Scouts council adopted a diversity statement that says adults should not be banned as leaders because of their sexual orientation, but the organization – the Simon Kenton Council – isn’t standing by Westerville resident Brian Peffly, a gay man who was notified in March by the national Scouts office that he could no longer serve as a volunteer.
