An inspirational story of how proud people—and proud businesses—build community.Named Instinct Magazine’s “Leading Man” in 2007, Kyle Kim has been working at Microsoft as Director of Family Computing to help kids stay safe online. His commitment to family and community doesn’t start or end with Microsoft—he has spent a lifetime overcoming obstacles through the power of mentorship. His life was shaped by coming out as a gay youth, the challenges of family acceptance, and a time facing the scourge of homelessness.Kim will be sharing his inspirational story, and how you can gain strength through vulnerability, on June 23, 5:30 PM, at the Radisson Plaza Hotel, Minneapolis. Tickets are on sale May 29 through local GLBT youth groups and event-sponsor organizations.

North Star Classic Hits Off Another Year
The Minneapolis-St. Paul North Star Classic Softball Tournament returns for another exciting year. A way to help build friendships among GLBT amateur athletes from around the world, it is a low-cost, high-quality event. The Tournament kicks off with registration on May 23, beginning at 4:30 PM, at the Hyatt Hotel, Minneapolis. Bar activities include a registration party at the Saloon on May 23, a party at Camp on May 24, and the awards banquet at the Minneapolis Eagle on May 25.
